2023-2024 PD Season
The 2023-2024 CPA Manitoba Professional Development season has over 180 live virtual seminars being offered until March 31, as well as hundreds of on-demand seminars so you can learn when it best fits your schedule.
We believe continuing professional education can help our members develop personally and professionally. We are committed to providing skills, knowledge, and ideas to help you reach your full potential and career goals. The program includes a balance between technical competencies such as accounting, assurance, and taxation, and enabling competencies such as communication, ethics, strategy, leadership and self-management.
Plan Ahead for Year-End Learning
The deadline for registering for on-demand seminars you wish to complete by the end of 2023 is December 19, unless the seminar has the On-Demand Instant Access option. Orders received after December 19 will be fulfilled the first week of January.
Find the Right Seminar with Updated Search Functions
It is now easier to find the right seminar for you! Through expanded topic and subtopic areas assigned to seminars, you can drill down to specific areas of learning with 22 options. You can continue to choose between on-demand, live stream or in-person formats and timeframes, plus keywords to further define your options.
On-Demand Instant Access
When you register for an on-demand seminar, the login credentials and password are typically sent to you within two business days. Now, select seminars will provide instant access to the login credentials and password by email just after you register. Check the On-Demand Instant Access option box on the PD Seminars search page to see all of the seminars available with this option.
First Public Practice Education Week a Success
The first Public Practice Education Week was held during the third week of September as a joint venture between CPA Manitoba and CPA Saskatchewan with almost 750 registrations for the twelve sessions.
The reduced registration fee for the Managing the Risks of a Public Accounting Practice session was donated to the provinces’ respective foundations. In Manitoba, we raised $1,050 for the CPA Manitoba Foundation.
Participants appreciated the topics focused on their needs and the quality of the speakers, with feedback including:
