2023-2024 PD Pass Expiration Date
The deadline to use your PD Pass (personal, personal mini, corporate) credits is March 31, 2024. After this deadline, any remaining credits on your PD Pass will expire and cannot be refunded, credited or carried forward.

Seminars purchased with a PD Pass between January to March 2024 do not have to be completed by the March 31, 2024 deadline. People Management and Personal Development

Tools that empower you to positively impact culture, drive positive change in challenging times and ultimately improve the success of your team or organization.
  • February 15 – Tools to Manage Stress, Improve Focus & Create Calm – We live in a busy, often distracting and constantly changing world. From our technology to increasing work demands, to extreme weather and news, there is no shortage of change and potential stressors in our world. If you are having trouble feeling resilient, focused and at ease in your world, you are not alone.

Taxation

  • February 8 & 9 – Income Tax: Real Estate – This seminar identifies, and reviews significant income taxation issues arising from various aspects of real estate activities and includes practical, business-focused suggestions for dealing with such issues.
  • February 12 & 13 – Income Tax: 5 Years of Development – Income tax changes and evolves over time. “Keeping up” is a continuous process. Unfortunately, many professionals don’t have the time or the resources and consequently fall behind. This course offers the opportunity to “catch up” on several recent years of changes at one time.
  • February 12 & 13 – GST/HST: CRA Audit – This seminar provides participants with an in-depth look at CRA Audit procedures and discusses how audits are selected, common assessment areas, and how to minimize audit assessments.

Miscellaneous

  • February 6 & 7 – Leading Strategy into Action – This course links leadership “best practice” to the successful implementation of business strategy. It provides tools, and techniques, and explores the link between strategy implantation and the success of a business.
  • February 16 – Business Development for CPA Firms – Business development is a challenge for many managers and partners in terms of both expectations and execution. This webinar will examine the expectations for business development for managers and partners at CPA Firms. Explore concepts and relationship-building tools to help set the foundation for business development goals.
  • February 26 & 27 – Introduction to Budgeting for Professional Accountants – Budgeting is a critical aspect of planning for all organizations. The good news is that you don’t have to be an expert to contribute in a meaningful way to the budgeting process. What is required, however, is a solid grounding in the fundamentals of how to build and monitor detailed budgets.

Ethics

  • February 20 – Professional and Applied Ethics for Canadian CPAs – The course will explore some of the key moral questions in professional accounting and applied business ethics at an introductory level, including: What does it mean to be a professional accountant? What are the ethical issues involved in whistleblowing? How do we make ethical decisions and how does corporate culture influence our decisions? One of the iconic accounting ethics case studies will be presented: the rise and fall of the accounting firm, Arthur Anderson.
  • February 21 – Examining Ethics: An Honest Look at Ethics and Behaviours – In this seminar, we take a unique, interesting, and personal look at ethics and ethical and moral dilemmas. Ethics is about our character, our beliefs, and principles but as accountants, we must strive daily to maintain the highest ethical standards in our profession.
  • February 23 – Contemporary Ethics for CPAs – This course provides CPAs with an opportunity to ponder the importance of ethics and integrity in our profession using a blended learning model, interactive and self-reflective. Recent importance placed on ethical principles in businesses has created a framework for reporting environmental, social and governance benchmarks that indicate the sustainability of corporations.
