Tools to Manage Stress, Improve Focus & Create Calm

We live in a busy, often distracting and constantly changing world. From our technology to increasing work demands, to extreme weather and news, there is no shortage of change and potential stressors in our world. If you are having trouble feeling resilient, focused and at ease in your world, you are not alone.

As CPAs, it is essential that we bring a calm, focused and resilient mind to our work every day. For our own well-being, our productivity, our clients and our colleagues. How we manage ourselves has a direct effect on the work we do and the people around us.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Clearly see the magnitude of the demands placed on each of us every day,
  • Understand our evolutionary roots and how our 'Survival Brain' can be a liability in a world that is fast, distracting, complex and overwhelming,
  • Understand the importance of regularly finding our way out of our 'Reactive Mode' and back to our 'Responsive Mode' where we feel i) safe, secure and confident, ii) grateful, fulfilled and content, and iii) connected, caring and belonging
  • Intentionally calm, center and ground your mind,
  • Be resilient, agile and open to the changes and challenges that show up every day,
  • Stay focused on what matters most, and
  • Develop the habits you need to stay on track long after the course is complete.

Armed with the knowledge and practical tools we will cover, participants will leave the course confident that they can deal with the many challenges they face with greater calm, focus and resilience.
