Use of the CPA Logo

Firms and individual members who wish to use the CPA logo must request authorization and comply with certain conditions.

For Members

For Public Practice

Effective September 1, 2015, if a firm or individual member wishes to use the new CPA logo when branding their name, a separate licensing agreement needs to be signed. Firms will have a transition period of 19 months after September 1, 2015 to make the change to their registered name. After March 31, 2017, public accounting firms may no longer use their legacy designations and must refer to themselves as Chartered Professional Accountant(s)Tagging is not permitted.  The effective date of September 1 has been chosen to allow those firms who are LLPs or Professional Corporations to contact the Companies Office to change their registered names. A Professional Corporation or a Limited Liability Partnership must change its name with the Companies Office first before it may use the CPA logo. Further details on the process for registering has been communicated directly to firms.
