Financial Literacy Month

November is Financial Literacy Month.

This year’s theme is “Take charge of your finances!”. The goal is to encourage Canadians to practice healthy financial habits by making a budget, having a savings and debt reduction plan and understanding their financial rights and responsibilities.

In Manitoba, CPA Canada’s Financial Literacy program offers many different sessions throughout November, including:

  • Managing Your Finances in Retirement – November 4 at St. John’s Library in Winnipeg.
  • Budgeting and Saving – November 15 at Fort Richmond Collegiate in Winnipeg
  • The Money Side of Business – November 19 at Community Futures & Springfield Chamber of Commerce in Oakbank.
