Overview
The goal of this recognized certificate course is to focus on skills and confidence building. Medical facts and information are emphasized along with proficiency in learned skills that can be translated into effective action. Participants will learn to recognize and provide interventions for life-threatening emergencies until medical aid arrives by learning about offering Emergency First Aid, performing CPR, using an AED and practicing Boat Safety.

The certificate is recognized by Human Resource Development Canada, Canada Labour, Manitoba Labour, Workplace Safety and Health, Family Services and Housing and Child Daycare. Certificate is valid for 3 years and is federally and provincially approved. All certifications are issued by SMARTFIRE.

Those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.
