Thank You to Our Income Tax Clinic Volunteers

In March, CPA Manitoba hosted five successful volunteer income tax clinics in partnership with the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business and Graduate Students' Association, the University of Winnipeg’s Faculty of Business & Economics, and the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). Through CVITP, eligible individuals with modest incomes and simple tax situations receive free tax return preparation, helping them access important benefits and credits.

A sincere thank you to the CPA volunteer tax preparers listed below, led by Tracey Miller, CPA, CA. We are grateful to both new and returning volunteers, as well as those who generously supported more than one clinic.

Together, volunteers completed 210 tax returns for undergraduate and graduate students, resulting in more than $311,564 in tax refunds, credits, and rebates. This marks CPA Manitoba’s most successful year to date in hosting CVITP tax clinics.
