RRC Polytech’s new Business Administration Accounting Co-op program, is an optional program offered to students designed as an end of program as an internship to provide career pathways for accounting students and support Manitoba industry and businesses with a pipeline of well-trained, motivated, and enthusiastic student interns

Business Administration Accounting Internship program:

  • 4-month summer co-op internship term, May to August (summer work-term). Most co-op students would be available for extended employment/permanent positions following the internship period.
  • Industry partners recruiting RRC Polytech Business Administration Accounting co-op students can qualify for Provincial Co-op Tax Credits (15%) for both domestic and international students or federally funded student work placement program SWPP funding
  • In order to apply and qualify for the internships, students must 
    • Meet academic standards: minimum GPA 3.0 and no less than B grade in all communication courses. 
    • Complete all Program-specific/major required courses. Courses include industry related learning in addition to communication skills, ethics, and teamwork/project management skills. Details on specific majors can be found here
    • Completion of an internship preparation course focused on strengthening soft ‘employability’ skills, professionalism, and transitioning from education to employment
  • Recruitment and selection follow a competitive model. Students will apply for open positions provided by our industry partners and compete as they would in the open job market.
