CPA Manitoba Signs Winnipeg's Indigenous Accord

CPA Manitoba was honoured to participate in the Winnipeg Indigenous Accord signing on November 27, 2023, marking an essential milestone in our commitment to reconciliation. Geeta Tucker, FCPA, FCMA, President & CEO of CPA Manitoba is pictured above at the signing ceremony.

The Accord serves as a vital platform for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Winnipeggers to collectively navigate reconciliation. The Accord was unanimously adopted by City Council on March 22, 2017, and stands as a testament to our city's commitment to growth, learning, and embracing change.

As a partner of the Accord, CPA Manitoba has set goals for our organization and outlined an action plan to reach them. Annually, each partner will share a progress report that is publicized by the City of Winnipeg.

In addition to the certificate (shown below), we were presented with the University of Manitoba’s publication, Working in Good Ways. This framework offers a set of principles and practical strategies that can be considered at different stages while working with Indigenous communities.
