Are You Planning on Retiring?

As you plan for retirement, have you considered what that means for holding the CPA designation? Here is what you need to know:

CPD Requirements
Do you qualify for an exemption? If you're not working or sitting on any large or prominent boards/committees, you may not have to report CPD hours.

Apply for a CPD Exemption online with your retirement date either using the exemption form or during the membership renewal in March 2024. You will select "retirement" as the reason and answer the questions. If your situation changes in the future, please contact CPA Manitoba.

Membership Fees
Do you qualify for a reduction/exemption? If you are over 65 or have met the 80 points, you may qualify for a reduction or exemption from fees.

Apply for the membership fee reduction/exemption during the March 2024 membership renewal. Membership renewal invoices will be updated as you complete the renewal, should you qualify. If your situation changes in the future, please contact CPA Manitoba.
