CPA Manitoba CEO Named Executive Sponsor, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the CPA Profession in Canada 

Geeta Tucker, FCPA, FCMA, President and CEO of CPA Manitoba was recently named Executive Sponsor, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the CPA Profession in Canada.

The role is brand new to the accounting profession in Canada and tasks Tucker with working with her counterparts across the country to improve the diversity of membership as well as seeking innovative solutions to making the designation more accessible to all Canadians.

"I'm deeply honoured to be entrusted with this important work on behalf of CPAs in Canada," says Tucker. "I am approaching the challenge with a completely open mind and the belief that we have a lot of learning and understanding to do before we can begin to think about recommendations and solutions."

Tucker concluded by saying she is looking forward to taking the first steps as a profession and sharing findings with the accounting community along the way.
