Need New Accounting Talent? RRC Polytech Can Help!
Did you know that RRC Polytech’s Business Administration and Business Accountancy Co-op programs offer co-operative education as end-of-program internships to provide career pathways for accounting students and support Manitoba businesses with a pipeline of well-trained, motivated, and enthusiastic co-op students?
Business Administration and Business Accountancy co-op programs:
- 4-month summer co-op internship term, May through August. Most co-op students would be available for extended employment/permanent positions following the internship period.
- Co-op hiring can be partially funded through the Manitoba Co-operative Student Hiring Incentive tax credit (15%) for both domestic and international students or federally funded student work placement programs.
- Various levels of student background and experience, from entry-level accounting clerks and interns to students with years of progressive international experience working for multinational companies.
- To apply and qualify for co-op/internships, students must.
- Meet academic standards, including completion of all accounting courses.
- Completion of co-op preparation course focused on strengthening soft ‘employability’ skills, professionalism, and transitioning from education to employment.
- Recruitment and selection follow a competitive model. Students will apply for co-op/internship positions provided by your company and compete as they would in the open job market.
