Do you know of a student or candidate requiring financial support? We encourage you to share this information with your network.

The CPA Manitoba Foundation is proud to provide non-repayable financial assistance to help CPA students and candidates in Manitoba succeed. 

Funding can cover tuition, student fees, transcript assessments, tutoring, travel, child care, and more. 

Receiving financial assistance in the past does not impact eligibility for future applications. Individuals are encouraged to apply multiple times.

There are two options available:

1. New - CPA Insurance Plans West: Family Support Bursary 
Application Deadline: November 14, 2025, or March 6, 2026
The Foundation is pleased to introduce a new financial assistance opportunity, generously supported by CPA Insurance Plans West. The Family Support Bursary provides eligible candidates with funding to help ease the challenges of balancing education, work, and caregiving responsibilities. This support is designed to reduce financial barriers that may impact academic progress and can be applied toward a variety of expenses or related supports that make managing both family and professional studies more achievable.

Eligibility 
Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the following criteria by the application deadline: 

  • Be a registered CPA PEP candidate in good standing with the CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB).
  • Reside in Manitoba.
  • Show satisfactory performance in prerequisite studies and a commitment to achieving the CPA designation. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with families or those who are the primary caregiver for at least one dependent (child, spouse, parent, or other).

2. CPA Manitoba Foundation Financial Assistance
Application Deadline: October 1, 2025
CPA Manitoba Foundation Financial Assistance provides support to eligible CPA candidates and students to help overcome financial barriers that may affect educational success. This assistance can be applied toward tuition, student fees, and a wide range of other expenses, including transcript assessments, tutoring, private courses, travel, child care, and related costs that support progress toward the CPA designation.

Eligibility 
Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the following criteria by the application deadline: 

  • Be a registered CPA PEP candidate or preparatory student in good standing with the CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB).
  • Reside in Manitoba.
  • Show satisfactory performance in prerequisite studies and a commitment to achieving the CPA designation.
